…there have been around 200 naval deaths in NCIS thus far. According to the Washington Post, 193 U.S. service members from the Navy have died in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, total. This means CBS is responsible for more (fictional) naval deaths than the real casualties in the Afghan and Iraq wars combined. I know it’s wrong, but I want to blame this on Chris O’Donnell, mostly because he did an episode of Two and a Half Men.

One of the best parts of Alex’s piece in the The Hairpin is that a discussion of it today ended with a promise to go to the Red Lobster in Times Square together, for reasons that are probably too complicated to explain. (Except to LSG! It has to do with that CRAZY episode of SVU!)
